No... there isn't any abuse in the home. Just a child
deciding to throw a phone at her mother. Let's just say
she has an amazing arm.

When she was two years old, her family moved to Southern California and settled in Santa Monica where she spent the next sixty-one years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings throughout her life. Pepperwood Drive, where friends and family may call Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Spanish Fork Cemetery. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.comI am very grateful for the opportunity of knowing my grandmother. I am very grateful that I was able to speak to her before passing. I will cherish the moments that she held my hand and told me that she loved me and was very proud of me. I cannot describe the feelings I have had this week. I have felt really close to her and she has given me that extra push to try harder to live more Christ like. When I think back on the many memories, Some memories I want to just sit and cry. But here is some.... I wish that I could have one more sandwich made by my grandmother. ( With it cut in triangles, chips, sticks of celery)... There was something that made these sandwiches so good!!!! It must because she made each one with love. I wish that I could have crawled in bed with her at her final moments and tell her she wasn't alone. That I couldn't stop thinking about her and praying for her. I wish that I could go back to the days of going to swimming lessons at the Pepper wood pool. The best part was riding up in the Cadillac together and sitting up front in between everyone. I wish that I could have a bowl full of chili on Halloween night. Then head downstairs with my brothers and cousins to get cheated out of my candy bars. I ended up with tootsie rolls and smarty's. I wish I could go back to the day when I saw my grandma hold my little Ailey for the first time. She told me how beautiful she was. My grandma had a beautiful glow on her face when she was holding her. I remember calling her to tell her the news.... and she said she couldn't wait to see her. I wish that I could play shark on her furniture downstairs with my cousins and brothers. I remember easter egg hunt in St. George. It was a fun easter. I enjoyed us all together. Swimming, playing cards, putting together puzzles. I remember one night my girlfriends went up to my grandmas house to spend the night and sleep over. When we were laying down and talking we all of sudden hear this bang. Really loud. I was so scared that I sent one of my friends up the stairs.. We were thinking it was the guys coming back for something. Then as we were up the stairs looking at the door we heard another loud bang.. And we jumped and almost screamed. My grandmas door has a look on the wrong side. And I guess it was locked. But that night she had shut the door so that she could sleep while we watched a movie downstairs. Well she went to go get some water and she couldn't get out. So she thought if she banged loud enough we could hear it. Oh we heard it.... and it scared me too..... I have many memories of my grandma and I am starting to cherish each one. My goal is to write down my feelings and memories of her so that I don't forget them. Her funeral was so beautiful. I learned more about my grandma and was very happy that we were celebrating a good life. I am so glad that we thought about all the good and let go of the bad. Wish I could of seen my grandparents reuniting. Grandma, G.G. ( what the great grandkids called her.) I am going to miss you so very much. I know I will be able to see you again one day. I love you.... Love your, Grand Daughter http://shaynandkristen.blogspot.com/2008/11/goodbye-grandma.html. Here is the link to some pictures of my grandmas funeral. ( my parents made me take pictures of the funeral with there camera.) Thanks Kristen for the pic's. I would like some copies.. They turned out so cute. ![]() ![]() | ||

Halloween 08
So on Halloween I worked a 10 hour shift and didn't get home until 7:30. I really wanted to go with Ailey around to a couple houses. She wouldn't wear her outfit unless we were going outside. I sure had some fun taking her around. Let's say she was miss independent when she figured it out. Our family is soooooo cute!

Boots and Pjs.....
Let's say Ailey has been taken an active role in dressing herself. It's lately been very entertaining. She loves her boots. Then while I was looking over some paper work she found daddy's hat.
The other night Ailey gets into bed after her bath. And I said I will read you 3 books. "k", Ailey said. I read her the 3 books and while I was finishing the last one she said "Again". I said no...And then said Ok.. 1 more book. She said 2. I said 1. And after reading the book and saying prayers and singing her a few songs I left. When I was leaving her room, I couldn't help but laugh. Where do kids get this?
